How it works
Simple by design.
- 01Choose a short activity preset or a custom countdown.
- 02Twenty-four popcorn units fill in proportion to true elapsed time.
- 03Pause or resume; time and the visual stay in step.
- 04At zero, the countdown stops and stays completed. Restart it manually when you are ready.
- 05The illustration follows the real timer. Each mode keeps its own duration and running state.
Questions, answered.
Why can a popcorn piece be partly filled?
The 24 pieces divide elapsed time into equal units. A partly filled piece represents progress within one unit, so the total visual stays proportional instead of jumping only in whole pieces.
Will a countdown restart automatically at zero?
No. A countdown stops at zero and stays completed. To run it again, press Restart yourself; switching pages or refreshing does not start another run.
Will alerts sound if my device sleeps?
Timing catches up from timestamps when the browser resumes. Audio can be delayed or blocked while suspended; keep the page open and the device awake for important alerts.
