How it works
Simple by design.
- 01Choose an example soft, medium, or hard preset, then adjust it to your recipe.
- 02Start the clock; the outer ring and yolk show elapsed time.
- 03Pause, add time, or wait for the visible and optional audible finish.
- 04At zero, the countdown stops and stays completed. Restart it manually when you are ready.
- 05Example egg presets are editable. Follow your recipe and adjust the timing to suit it.
Questions, answered.
Are the egg presets guaranteed cooking times?
No. Soft 4 minutes, medium 7 and hard 10 are editable examples. Follow your recipe and cooking conditions. The ring and yolk show elapsed time, not food temperature or safety.
Will a countdown restart automatically at zero?
No. A countdown stops at zero and stays completed. To run it again, press Restart yourself; switching pages or refreshing does not start another run.
Will alerts sound if my device sleeps?
Timing catches up from timestamps when the browser resumes. Audio can be delayed or blocked while suspended; keep the page open and the device awake for important alerts.
