How it works

Simple by design.

  1. 01The starting plan includes 30 minutes of Analytical Writing, Verbal sections of 18 and 23 minutes, and Quantitative sections of 21 and 26 minutes.
  2. 02This practice sequence alternates Verbal and Quantitative sections after Writing. The actual section order can differ; check your test instructions and edit your plan.
  3. 03Start once to move through the full 1-hour-58-minute plan. Pause, seek a section or reset when needed; skipped sections are not counted as completed.

Questions, answered.

Does the GRE template fix the official section order?

No. The starting plan alternates 18- and 23-minute Verbal sections with 21- and 26-minute Quantitative sections after 30 minutes of Writing. Your actual section order can differ; edit the practice plan as needed.

Will alerts sound if my device sleeps?

Timing catches up from timestamps when the browser resumes. Audio can be delayed or blocked while suspended; keep the page open and the device awake for important alerts.
